Key features of our unique approach

Doctor-Led Expertise

Our services are designed and led by a GP and medical educator with over 15 years of experience in Australian healthcare. You’ll receive the benefit of medical advice backed by years of clinical practice and the latest lifestyle medicine research and education practices. Whether you’re joining our programs, workshops, or seeking 1:1 advice, you're working with a trained medical professional who understands the science behind sustainable health changes.

Support and empowerment

Your health journey belongs to you, and our role is to support you every step of the way. Our positive change approach empowers you to take control of your health and overcome barriers to change. We don’t just provide a plan—we give you the tools and mindset to succeed. With our strength-based, positive psychology methods, you’ll learn how to build habits that last, manage setbacks, and ultimately transform your lifestyle for the better. Even our self-paced online courses offer check-ins and support throughout. The goal is to support you to create lasting habits that will benefit you for years to come.

Evidence-Based Approach

Everything we do is based on evidence, not trends or fads. Our strategies are all backed by clinical research and up to date guidelines, for example, the Australian Guide to Healthy Eating. LMC focuses on the six pillars of lifestyle medicine: nutrition, physical activity, mental well-being, sleep, healthy relationships, and minimising harmful substances. We stay up-to-date with the latest research, ensuring that you receive advice that is safe and effective.

Flexible Health Solutions

We offer flexible solutions to suit your preferences and learning styles because there is no 'one-size-fits-all' approach when it comes to health, learning, or habit formation. Our health and wellbeing programs are designed with a variety of formats, including written, audio, visual, and video content, to ensure that you have access to practical and engaging resources regardless of your learning preference. Whether you prefer to work at your own pace, in groups, or are seeking one-on-one health coaching, we have options to suit.

About

Hi, I am Dr Marny Royans

I’m a GP and medical educator with over 15 years of experience working in Australian healthcare settings. Having seen firsthand how chronic diseases impact my patients, I’ve made it my mission to demonstrate how lifestyle changes can truly transform health. With Lifestyle Medicine, you can prevent, treat, and even reverse chronic diseases by supporting your body through sustainable, evidence-based lifestyle changes!

I’m passionate about empowering people to take control of their health by building sustainable habits. Through Lifestyle Medicine Collective, I’m excited to guide you with realistic, evidence-based strategies tailored to your unique circumstances.

Outside of work, I enjoy staying active, spending time outdoors with my family, and practising the same healthy habits I teach. It’s not always perfect, and that’s okay!

Education and Credentials: Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (University of Adelaide) Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners Undergoing accreditation in Lifestyle Medicine (Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine) Registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
